Library Card
Click on "Find my Library" tab and type in your address to find your local Library!
The Library offers both Resident and Non-Resident Library card options. Please bring a valid Michigan driver's license or Michigan State ID when applying.
Resident of the Library District? Anyone who lives, or owns property in the Library district may get a Library card. If a person rents property in the Library District and their Driver's License /Michigan ID doesn't have the renting address on the Drivers License ID, than the person should show a current or previous month utility bill with address of the property renting addressed in their name. (We suggest going to Michigan.gov/SOS to update dr. license which is a sticker on the back).
If you live in another state and own property within the Library District and the parcel search does not show yo u owning property, you need to show proof of residency at that property address with a current property tax bill or a current or previous month utility bill if taxes are not in borrower's name.
Patrons under 18 years of age will need to renew card in Library with guardian present.
Not a Library Resident? If you do not live within the Library District you may purchase a non-resident Libary card for $55 a year.
Visiting patron? If you have a local Michigan Library card from your public Library you can use it at the Jordan Valley District Library as a visiting patron on Melcat if your public Library is also a participating Library. Just bring in your Library card and ID to use the services, programs and collections. Click here for a list of all visiting Melcat visiting patron participating Libraries.
